Aurora Borealis – Norse and Inuit Travelling under the Northern Lights

This sculpture represents the meeting of two Arctic cultures, the Viking Norse and the Inuit. The story depicted in this sculpture represents a time when the Viking Norse and Inuit, went on co-operative hunting ventures, into the Northern waters of Southern Ellesmere Island. They are travelling through ice flows, under the dancing shadows of the Northern Lights.
